Practical Operation Steps for Pressure Test Paper Measurement

　　Pressure test paper, also named pressure sensitive paper, features simple operation, but standardized steps are required to avoid measurement error. Before testing, confirm the estimated pressure range and select the matching film grade. Prepare scissors or cutting tools to cut the film into the shape matching the contact area. Keep the coated surface clean and avoid scratching or squeezing the film in advance, as accidental pressure will trigger premature microcapsule rupture.

　　Place the cut pressure test paper between the two contact surfaces. For two-sheet products, ensure the functional matte sides face each other correctly. Apply target pressure following the actual working condition, including pressure holding duration. The loading process should simulate real production status, because pressure holding time affects final color density. Once loading finishes, separate the parts and take out the film sample carefully.

　　Visual evaluation can be done immediately by comparing the color shade with standard color reference charts. Even color means uniform pressure distribution; uneven dark spots indicate stress concentration. For engineering reports requiring numerical data, scan the film with a high-resolution scanner and import images into dedicated pressure analysis software. The system converts color density values into pressure cloud diagrams and exports quantitative data for technical documentation.

　　Several common errors should be avoided. Do not touch the coated surface with fingers, since hand pressure and oil contamination will create false marks. Complete reading and scanning within 30–60 minutes. After this window, color will gradually drift and cause deviation. Proper storage is also important: keep unused pressure sensitive paper in cool, dry environment and avoid extrusion or sunlight exposure before use.
